What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so that it can recognise the browser on later requests. Similar technologies include local storage, which stores data on your device, and pixels, which are tiny images used to record that a page was loaded.
Cookies set by this site
This site sets no cookies of its own for tracking, analytics or advertising.
The site may store a preference in your browser’s local storage, such as whether a panel was left open. That data stays on your device, is not sent to us, and is removed when you clear your browser’s site data.
Advertising cookies
Google AdSense, our advertising provider, and its certified partners set cookies to serve and measure ads, and where you have consented, to personalise them.

Your choices
You can refuse advertising cookies through the consent message, through Google, or through your browser.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent message appears before advertising cookies are set. You can change your answer later through the privacy link in the footer once advertising is live.
- Anywhere, you can turn off personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings and from other vendors at aboutads.info.
- Every browser lets you block or delete cookies for all sites or for this one. Blocking cookies does not stop the site working; the ads become non-personalised.
Affiliate cookies
If you follow a commission link, the partner’s site may set a cookie on its own domain to record the referral. That happens on the partner’s site under its policy, not here. The affiliate disclosure lists which links these are.
